Christians In Public Education (CIPE) is a mechanism for gathering together and building relationships with other believers. As an educator in the public school system, you are NOT alone. That is the beauty to CIPE! In the education field today (and in any business environment for that matter), people need to be connected with others to avoid isolation. Teaching is hard work and is getting more and more challenging each year. So to combat those challenges, we need each other. In Matthew 18:20 Jesus tells us “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” We don’t have to be alone!! Jesus wants to be with us. We just need a prayer partner or group. But in the public school system, that’s not allowed. Oh yes it is! Here’s how…before or after your contracted work hours, you are free to pray with a partner or group of other believers. Find another Christian who wants to pray with you and set up a time or times and a location on campus to meet. Identify an area where it is quiet and there is limited foot traffic. Come together there and pray for each other, for specific students, for parents, for colleagues, for wisdom, for patience, for peace, for anything. Let God lead you. This can be short – a quick 2 minute prayer is pleasing to God. He WANTS to be with us – to hear from us – to lead us. You will be amazed at how this helps you. Just knowing you have a prayer partner(s) supporting you and God working for you, the load is lifted and you will move through your day with a smile on your face. We need to be there for each other. We all know how important it is to remain positive and to encourage others. A word of encouragement can be just what you need to get through the day. Offer that and receive it from your prayer partner or group. By helping someone else, you are helping yourself too. And God loves that! God loves you! You are not alone!
